Director Eboni Zamani discusses A SONG FOR NIA.

Logline: The death of her cousin brings a young Black woman back to Philadelphia where she must confront all the people and circumstances that she left behind.

A SONG FOR NIA is a digital dramedy series about the homecoming of Nia, a young Black creative living in LA, for her cousin’s funeral. Nia has been disconnected from many since she chose to place her dreams over what she left behind in Philly. The series is a deep dive into Nia’s journey to self-acceptance through grief, love and accountability. Her journey will coincide and at times collide with those of her family, friends, and community.
